Steinway pianos have long been regarded as the finest examples of this type
of instrument. Many experts believe that the quality and workmanship
of vintage Steinway pianos is superior to those produced today.
At Beethoven Pianos we dedicate ourselves to building the
perfect instrument. Our craftsmen possess over 150 years of piano-rebuilding
experience combined! A Beethoven Pianos Rebuilt Steinway is a marvelous
example of piano workmanship that is a joy and pleasure to play.
The Steinway name is legendary among piano lovers. Long heralded as the epitome of piano craftsmanship
and achievement, Steinway piano draws admirers from around the world.
Founded in 1853 by a cabinetmaker named Henry Engelhard Steinweg, Steinway & Sons revolutionized the
piano industry through innovative designs, superb craftsmanship, and an impressive number of patents.
While establishing a factory in New York, Theodore Steinway returned to Hamburg to open the Steinway factory.
Beethoven Pianos' appreciation for Steinway instruments has never waned. We feel that these pianos
are among the finest in the world. As many of the world's top pianists will agree, Steinway
pianos produce some of the most aurally pleasing tones available to this instrument.
Mason & Hamlin
A long standing favourite among singers, Mason and Hamlin pianos boast rich, fluid bass tones, enhancing even the most polished of singing voices. Founded initially
by Henry Mason and Emmons Hamlin in 1854 as an organ manufacturer, Mason and Hamlin begin producing
pianos in 1882.
Presently located in Boston, Massachusetts, Mason and Hamlin continues its hundred-plus-year-old tradition
of producing elegant instruments in fewer numbers than other piano makers of its class. We
believe Mason and Hamlin maintains the quality and integrity of their instruments this way.
Grotrian
Because of their sweet singing tone and rich sustain, the Grotrian piano has long been considered
the Stradivarius of hand-made German pianos, earning the endorsement of prominent pianists and
technicians throughout the world. The Grotrian piano company was founded by Heinrich Engelhard Steinweg,
the same man who immigrated to New York in 1850 to found Steinway & Sons.
Historically presented as gifts among nobility, Grotrian pianos won admiration and prestige among the emperors,
duchies, and noble houses of Europe. Today, Grotrian pianos are regarded on par with the world’s finest pianos
minus the hefty price tags. As low as 30% less than a comparable Steinway, Grotrians blend value with tonal
superiority and masterful craftsmanship. We offer a wide selection of this highly distinctive line of pianos. We also offer piano refinishing,
piano tuning, maintenance and piano repair in New York City and beyond.
