Series 112

The 112-series opens the door to SAUTER´s world of sound. All the components and technical advantages crucial forthe tone are combined in this compact product-range. Here you can already profit from the unique sounding board with“SAUTER Spherical Concavity®”.

CARUS 112 - The first step into the Sauter class. Satin black ash, satin walnut, polished black. 44"

This full size concert grand has been specifically developed with the most accomplished pianists and the vast accustics of concert halls in mind. It boasts excellent power, buoyancy and rich tonal structure. Its fiery bass and effervescent treble are wonderfully transparent and fresh, without any anonymous, cool effect. The differentiated touch allows the pianist to display the finest nuances, from pianissimo though to forte and offers a wide range of extra class tones. The Concert is made from selected materials by master craftsmen. It will retain its value for many, many years, making the Concert an instrument that will last for generations.

The soundboard is made from the finest spruce. The hammers are specially selected and manufactured. Ebony sharps. Large locking brass casters with a plastic coating. Series 116

The bigger sound board of our series 116 offers more volume in sound. The unique “SAUTER Spherical Concavity®” of the sound board produces well-balanced sound characteristics, supported by tonewood of mountain spruce. This wood is strong on one hand, but flexible on the other offering a wide spectrum of tone. Our good working keyboard offers you great delight in playing. SAUTER, as a manufacturer of pianos, was first to introduce the modern truss frame made of steel, which precludes any deformation of the clavier. Pianos of this range are characterised by an ideal coordination between musical mechanism and mechanics for an even lighter playing experience, allowing your piano-playing to sound even smoother. The enlarged hammerhead makes the tone more substantial and influences the response of the piano to your playing. This you will hear! The sum of all constructive features skilfully realized in SAUTER´s manufacture, guarantee longevity. Series 122/130

SAUTER-pianos of this product range are equipped with a sound board, which is up to 25% bigger in size in comparison to the basic models. This works in favour of the sound, due to the “SAUTER Spherical Concavity®” of the sound board. Tones are consequently amplified paired with a sparkling liveliness in quality. Pianos of this series are equipped with another extra: the double repetition action of grand pianos developed by SAUTER. Solved by something as simple gravity, grand pianos overcome what is a real problem for vertical pianos: the damper lever, which transfers the action from key to hammer, responds far too slowly when being struck repeatedly or in quick succession, leaving the succeeding strike soundless. The SAUTER double-repetition action of grand pianos, a solid and non-wearing construction, permits the responsiveness of grand pianos – without compromise. Only pianos by SAUTER have this unique action. Furthermore, pianos of the 122 / 130-series possess a finer mensure leading to a more balanced distribution of tone from Treble to Bass. The Competence 130 has an even bigger sound board, posing an even bigger challenge to the action in order to hear and experience the big and wide sonority. That is why this piano by SAUTER has an even further developed action with an optimised lever rapport. It is easier and more controllable to add touches to the style of playing.
